calculate your golf handicap! The following Golf Handicap is based on an average for 5
rounds of golf. The USGA Course Rating and Slope Rating should be available from
your scorecard or from your golf course. These will make your handicap calculation more
accurate. If you do not have this information, we will assume the average values for
Course and Slope Ratings, and you would only need to enter your total scores.
The golf handicap calculator will give you a number which
is an index that tells you approximately how many strokes you would need per round to play
with a "scratch", or "even par" golfer. (Example: If your golf
handicap index number is 16, and your playing partner has a golf handicap index number of
12, your partner would need to give you 4 strokes per 18 holes (2 strokes for each 9
holes) in order for you to be playing on a level playing field.)
