Washington, D.C. Lobbying Day
Our annual lobbying day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for CUSA organizational members will be held on May 16, 2007. We urge all CUSA organizational members to register for meetings with Members of Congress from their states. More Info

Overcrowding And Understaffing
Prison overcrowding and correctional officer staff shortages are affecting the safety and security of corrections nationwide. CUSA is at the forefront of efforts to relieve overcrowding and establish minimum staffing levels.

Unsafe Working Conditions
A 128 year old maximum security prison, the "House of Correction," was abruptly closed in Jessup, Maryland. An officer was murdered by two inmates at the facility last year and another officer was stabbed on March 2nd.
