Barrow 0 Blyth Spartans 2

Saturday 31st March 2007

Two early goals in each half meant Blyth completed the league double over Barrow.

After only 3 minutes Phil turnbull found Alex Gildea who lobbed the ball over Jamie Speare to give the Spartans the lead. Scott Bell then had a shot cleared off the line, before Barrow had a couple of long range efforts which didn't really test Adam Bartlett.

The second half started in the same way as the first when 3 minutes in Blyth scored. This time Aron Wilford beat a couple of Barrow defenders before slotting the ball in off the far post for his first goal in Blyth's colours. Barrow came back into the match a bit more but again never tested the Spartans goal.

1: Adam Bartlett, 2: Ben Christensen, 3: Alex Gildea (Richard Hodgson), 4: Andrew Leeson, 5: Peter Snowdon (Captain), 6: Gareth Williams, 7: Phillip Turnbull (Christian Graham), 8: Chris McCabe, 9: Rob Dale, 10: Scott Bell, 11: Aron Wilford (Michael Hedley).
