CHATSWORTH, Calif. - The last time AVN got invited to an Evil Angel sex shoot, Bush was president. Dimwit's father that is, and the set was for what went on to become AVN's Best Film of 1991, Wild Goose Chase.
Yup, the company John "Buttman" Stagliano founded is pretty, uh, anal about keeping its sets closed, so when EA extended an invite to me to cover a brand new sex shoot, well, it felt like a journalistic coup (yes, we were on The Fashionistas set in 2002, but that doesn't really count cause we only witnessed friggin' dialog).
The new vignette production is being helmed by John Howard, the creator of the wildly successful underground comic book Horny Biker Sluts, and Scott Philipps, a close writer friend. A pair of porn hounds, the two also happen to be adult directorial cherries.
Philipps tells me the roots of the Evil Angel project date back some 10 years, when he sent a script to Stagliano, who rejected it, but did so with an encouraging detailed analysis. Howard, Philipps and Stagliano have stayed in touch ever since, and the result is the (at press time) only partially titled Buttman Comics Presents ... (referencing the single bound volume of the hardcore Buttman Comics that has been published to date).
"It's cool John's giving us a shot," Philipps says. "So I hope we can deliver."
Today's segment is being shot at director Skye Blue's sound stage and is a vampire-themed episode set in an alley featuring Jayna Oso, Haley and Evan Stone. Oso is the nastiest, mouthwatering, fetish-clothed vampire I've ever seen; Haley, her oh-so-lucky "victim," and the ever-hamming-it-up Stone the vampire slayer - actually make that vampire fucker - Van Goodcock.
While Howard and Philipps direct the dialog scenes, once the sex starts, truth be told, experience takes over in the persons of new EA director Jonni Darkko (manning the camera) and the heads of Evil's DVD division,
Stagliano's wife, former performer Tricia Devereaux, and David Crawford, both behind a monitor. Stagliano, arguably the most acclaimed, influential director in the history of smutdom, isn't on the set this day.
Stone jams a dil in the shape of a cross down Oso's throat, causing her to gag, then spits in her cunt, while Haley fucks it with another piece of imposing hardware. The energy is electric, and Oso cums loudly.
Both girls now start sucking Stone, generating snake-like saliva strands and after a bit, he begins plowing Oso's pussy.
"Am I fucking the evil out of you?" he asks the emoting-at-full-volume vampire. Well, this does sound like an exorcism.
Privately, Devereaux tells Darkko that the more demure Haley is getting overshadowed. "That's the biggest danger of threeways," she says. "We need her energy to match the others."
I notice that Stone is actually wearing a condom - a first for Evil Angel? (the shoot occurs before the latest industry HIV scare) - which Devereaux tells me is due to his marriage to Jessica Drake.
Oso lowers her asshole onto Stone's stiffie in a reverse cowgirl, and Stone completes the task at, uh, cock driving the evil out of her tight little bod, but - wouldn't you know it? - straight into Haley's.
What's a vampire fucker to do? Why fuck, naturally, and Stone finally brings Haley the performer to life. A sacrilegious Jesus-on-the cross dil, which has been the object of her fascination all afternoon, is at last put into play as Oso starts plowing Haley's heinie with it. The Passion of the Christ Dildo, anyone?
After a minute or two, it's replaced by Stone's real thing, and, before long, Haley, too, gets off deafeningly. Finally, after three long hours of keeping it up in various degrees, Stone gets the OK to pop, all-but-silently jacking his juice onto Oso's ass and into Haley's mouth.
"That was a big load," Oso says appreciatively. And then it's a wrap.

Evil Angel plans to release the Buttman Comics Presents project in September, hopefully in enough time to be considered for an AVN nomination for Best Vignette Title.
