Upcoming Projects:

Three Options For A Long Range Facilities Plan!

Plans realize up to $5.5 million in annual savings and provide new or like new educational spaces for all students, with classrooms and buildings that will serve us for decades to come.

· The options are data-driven, based on more than 10,000 hours of expert analysis and months sharing with and receiving information from the community.

· They impact all buildings and properties in the district and include new schools, extensive upgrades and consolidating schools.

·  The options allow us to make improvements to protect the health and safety of students and staff, provide state-of-the-art labs, high performance learning environments and much more.

·  We are a long way from any major changes such as building new schools or consolidating schools.  The earliest parents, students and staff would begin to see such changes would be a little over two years from now in the fall of 2009, and any option would take about 5-6 years to fully implement.

·  The options allow plenty of time for the next phase of the process which includes discussing schools of the future and the programs we want in these buildings, spending time designing the new or remodeled schools, developing a plan for construction that keeps students and staff safe, finalizing the financial plan, and creating a transition plan for those schools and properties not used so they can return to the community for an appropriate alternative use.
