LLC Visits Juan Pablo II School
Aug 11, 2006, 9:13 am

Members of Little League Chile were busy spreading baseball fever this week, recruiting players at Colegio Juan Pablo II, and Colegio Santa Maria de Las Condes. Both schools are in the Las Condes section of Santiago, adjacent to the new fields at Parque Padre Hurtado.

The gathering included Las Condes Mayor Francisco De La Maza, chief-of-staff Rodrigo Paut, LLC President Jorge Luis Varela, US Ambassador Craig Kelly and his wife, Kim.
Students representing both schools were first given an explanation and demonstration of the game, followed by an opportunity to try it themselves.

Plans are underway for Little League Chile to work with the schools' sports instructors in organizing teams and training players in time for the upcoming Spring season.
