Brothers Edge and Christian couldn’t settle their October 2001 differences in any ordinary match, so they pulled out the ladders for an Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match. These two Superstars had been used to competing in Ladder Matches, but as teammates. Now they brought their high-flying, high-risk maneuver to the ring to use against each other. Three ladders became involved, but in the end, Edge gave Christian the Con-Chair-To on top of the ladder, causing him to fall to the mat and allowing himself to grab the Intercontinental Championship.
