I almost didn’t notice being on vacation and all, but a few days ago this site turned two years old. I’m not sure that when I started this little corner of the web I expected to still be having some fun with it two years later but there you go. I did and I am.
So happy birthday Yellow Swordfish.

When I caught sight of this picture on the BBC news site I had a ghastly and fleeting feeling that it was me doing something stupid that I didn’t remember doing. But it’s OK. It’s 1960’s pop star Wayne Fontana doing something stupid that he’d probably prefer other people forget. Well.. he used to be somebody! And his hair is the same colour as mine.

Bought another hat today - just coudn’t resist this beauty. It’s another Mac PhotoBooth shot taken in my lodge room in bad light so pretty rough. But a great hat!

The first picture from the set of Keira’s latest movie - based on events in the life of Welsh poet Dylan Thomas.
The guy at Cinematical from where I culled the picture thought she looked dowdy. It wasn’t the word that sprung to my mind however.

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about my wife and her JDOCD friends gathering in Los Angeles for some group 'therapy'. They all had, of course, a great time feasting on all things Depp and re-enforcing their suffering with a string of Depp-related activities which included pilgrimages to Grauman's Chinese Theatre to sink their toes into 'those' footprints and to the Hollywood Walk of Fame to find 'that' pavement embedded star. Other organised events ...

If all goes to plan, this day in exactly one weeks time, I should be fulfilling a long-term ambition and be in the middle of a visit to the Grand Canyon in Arizona. This has been on my list of 'things to do before I die' for many years now and while the trip is going to involve huge amounts of driving without too much time at any one place, I am looking forward to ...

Things have been a little quiet on the wife and her JDOCD front of late. There hasn't really been much to talk about and what there has been I was solemnly requested not to write about and as a man of honour and a jolly nice chap all round I feel duty bound to keep to my agreement. But there was a strange and unusual little event that took place today that has got me wondering ...

It's been a while since there was anything to report on the JDOCD front. Nothing has changed, the disorder continues unabated, but it is almost as if it has been in hiding waiting for a fresh new year of Depp related activity to burst forth. Which it has. Seems that our Johnny - no, that should really be her Johnny - is currently filming his and Tim Burton's latest, "Sweeney Todd"* at Pinewood, and next weekend ...

The real reason my wife wants to come to Dewey Beach every year has really got bugger all to do with greyhounds. Well - perhaps that's not totally fair but it's close. It certainly started with greyhounds. But like so many people with an obsession, she can sniff out like minds and slowly a little network of infected women started to develop and grow. They might all have a greyhound, and some of them might ...

I took my JDOCD afflicted wife to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2 the other day. Actually, it's probably more accurate to say that she took me. Either way I was a willing participant. She was, of course, looking forward to two and a half hours of damp knicker time swooning over Johnny and I was looking forward to what I hoped would be a fun film. Anyway - Keira was in it. Having bought ...

Outside the British Isles, England is often erroneously considered synonymous with the island of Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales) and even with the entire United Kingdom. Despite the political, economic, and cultural legacy that has secured the perpetuation of its name, England no longer officially exists as a governmental or political unit unlike Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, which all have varying degrees of self-government in domestic affairs.
The Witanagemot club is a growing collection of bloggers that believe that the current constitutional settlement is disadvantageous to England and support the creation of an English Parliament.
Yellow Swordfish does not necessarily endorse or agree with all of the views of other Witanagemot members.
