National Eisteddfod of Wales

"Eisteddfod Frenhinol Genedlaethol Cymru, Birkenhead, Medi 5, 6, a 7, 1917. Y Rhaglen Swyddogol."

Wyneb ddalen rhaglen Yr Eisteddfod Genedlaethol a gynhaliwyd ym 1917 ym Mhenbedw.Yn yr Eisteddfod hon enillwyd y gadair gan Hedd Wyn am ei gerdd 'Yr Arwr' fis union ar ol ei ladd ar faes y gad yn ystod brwydr Passchendaele.

Title page of the 1917 Welsh National Eisteddfod programme held at Birkenhead. The chair at this Eisteddfod was won by Hedd Wyn for his poem 'Yr Arwr' (The Hero). He himself had been killed a month earlier during the battle of Passchendaele.
