Stillie aims to find London club
Dundee United goalkeeper Derek Stillie
Derek Stillie will go part-time in England next season
Dundee United goalkeeper Derek Stillie hopes to find a club in London so he can combine football with his legal studies after leaving Dundee United.

The 33-year-old has informed United manager Craig Levein that he will be moving on in the summer.

"I don't know what football options will come up," he told The Courier.

"Whether I can combine the studies with staying full-time, or if I'll have to go part-time, but this is a decision I've taken a lot of thought over."

Stillie, who joined United two seasons ago from Dunfermline Athletic, has been working on an English law degree.

He previously had a spell in English football, with Wigan Athletic, having started his career with Aberdeen.

"I actually made my mind up about a year ago," said Stillie.

"I've got young kids and it's best we move down to London now."

Stillie has been a near ever-present for Scottish Premier League outfit United this season.

And manager Craig Levein is faced with the prospect of needing to find a new first-choice goalkeeper this summer.

Levein said: "It's great for him to have something like this to move on to, but it's a blow for us because he's been in very good form lately."
