Note on Non-DC Characters: These are characters who were created as part of adapations of DC comic books, but were not themselves originally from the comics books. A number of them have been re-adapted back into the source material, but are included here for consistancy (e.g. Montoya, Harley Quinn, and Mercy all first appeared in the cartoons). Characters are included if they’ve appeared in multiple shows (e.g. across the Animated DCU), are important in tracking certain actors (e.g. Lionel Luthor), are important in their own right (Chief O’Hara, Harley Quinn, etc), or it would just look odd to leave them off of their show (e.g. Chloe Sullivan, the Wonder Twins, etc). An exception is made for characters that have become so associated with the comics that most people aren’t even aware that they started life elsewhere e.g. Jimmy Olsen’s first ever appearance was on the Superman radio show
