Riding talk:
Discuss Your Riding

During the 2006 federal election, CBC.ca created 308 discussions -- one for each riding in Canada -- for Canadians to write about what the residents and candidates in their ridings were talking about. Over the course of the campaign, CBC.ca published more than 10,000 reader submissions.

The discussions are now closed, but we've archived the discussion, so you can still read about the federal election from the perspective of Canadians across the country.

Interesting races:
From Burnaby-Douglas to Avalon to Western Arctic, here's a look at some of the most interesting riding races in this election. Check back for more as the campaign continues.

Changing of the guard:
Notable additions to and deletions from the candidates list

Who's in and who's out this time around? We've assembled a guide to MPs who've decided not to run again - as well as high profile candidates parties have been able to attract.

Swing ridings:
Too close for comfort

In 2004, more than one-third of the ridings were decided by margins of victory of less than 10 per cent of ballots cast. These "swing" ridings will attract a lot of attention this time around.
