Asada has landed triple Axels in competition (2005 ISU Junior Grand Prix Final and Junior Worlds). Her sister Mai
(two years older) is competing at the international level as well and finished 6th at the 2006 Four Continents
Championships. Mao and Mai Asada switched coaches after the 2006/07 season and moved from Japan to the
USA to train with Arutunian.
