some other, smaller sites reporting on this story have had it removed by namco bandai - dunno whether it supports the idea of the game's release or not but interesting nonetheless

Just to let everybody know, the guy who originally created katamari had nothing to do with the psp game, and he said that he wouldn't be doing anymore katamari games. so whoever is developing this game isn't the original creator.

This is all small talk,I don't see any signigicance.And Pudgieluv,Xbox is not slipping away this week,it's sales are like double of the PS3,still,even after Sony stabilized the stock in stores.Wii and 360 are still on top,360 with its games and upcoming games and Xbox Live,Wii with its innovation and kid-friendliness(both outsell PS3 by miles).

I hope they make good use of the Wii motion... I know they will make good use of the Wii motion Sensitivity.

Katamari is great. While I'm happy that it could come to the current generation home consoles, I can imagine the great things that could be done with an XBOX 360 or PlayStation 3 version--more interactive worlds, better physics, less boxy graphics. Then again, I don't want it to lose its eclectic charm.

It will of course use motion sensing on the Wii, but if it does look several times better on the other two consoles, it may not be such an advantage. I doubt it will use the SixAxis on the PS3, but if it does, the overall advantage is clearly on that console.

The analog sticks are amazing though, from my experience with it on PS2. No one will miss out on a very fun game. If you've never played a Katamari, ROOOOLL up to your local game store and pick this one up along with the other two and make a giant Katamari gaming star in the cosmos.

As a PS3 owner, seeing Katamari go from a "Beautiful" $20 price tag to $25 saddened me. Seeing it jump to $40 upon its relative success is even more saddening.

Royal rainbow me a "do-not-care." This game will have to be at least as good and then some to make me interested. Still, I absolutely love Katamari. I have faith it can be that good.

You know, for a few days the only PS2 game I could play was Silpheed. It had been stuck in the drive tray! Luckily that is now fixed.

I've never played Katamari before and I thought I never would because I'm not getting a PS3. But if this turns out to be true... awesome!!!

Katamari? I would totally dig another one (I've loved the last 3), but I do recall the creator of Katamari saying he was done a long while ago (went to go build playgrounds or something).

If anything, they'll either do a remake of the PSP version (without the loading screens in the middle of a stage).

Looks like everything is going to be on multiple consoles these days. Not a good thing. Cross-platform games almost always tend to be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator. Like the Wii's graphics... >.

It's always best to be patient and wait until closer to the listed release date before you get excited about a release, how many times have games actually been scheduled and then been delayed anyways....

Silpheed looked VERY good at TGS. And that disclaimer is good, but I have to ask... why exactly do retailers jump the gun so frequently?

Is there someone in purchasing that likes to make things up for laughs? Does the database guy type with his knuckles and always hits extra platform codes? Do the folks in Relations misplace their glasses every time an upcoming release fax arrives? Does the COO have a time machine? Is the CEO a mindreader? Do many Bothans die to bring them this information?

Probably not. But seeing as the publishers play coy after wining and dining the purchasers for shelf space, the only feasible options seem to fall into categories of dishonesty, incompetence, and conspiracy. Which is exactly the feeling that seeps into my bones every time I go in to an EBGames.
