List of Publications
(My entry in the DBLP bibliography)
My main research area is database systems .
Current areas of interest include
- Query processing and optimization. Topics include
optimization of nested iteration, query optimization in the
context of fine-grained authorization, and materialized views.
- Keyword querying in databases
Soumen Chakrabarti and I lead the
BANKS project,
which aims at supporting keyword queries on relational and
XML databases.
- Earlier areas included multi-query optimization, parametric
query optimization, and Main Memory Databases
(I was one of the founders of the DataBlitz main memory database
project in Bell Laboratories, Murray Hill).
I am also interested in failure recovery
error checking and fault tolerance issues, particularly in
main memory databases.
