Your Massive Election Central Guide To 2008 Prez Campaign Staffs

Okay, here it is: We've just compiled our massive Election Central chart of every single staff member that's been hired on every one of the 2008 Presidential campaigns. You'll probably never hear the vast majority of them quoted, and will rarely see their names in print, if at all. But they are the ones who will largely determine -- through thousands of choices large and small -- what the 2008 Presidential race will be like. They'll help set the course of the campaign's larger narratives and subplots alike. They'll get the credit if their candidate soars -- and take the blame if he or she sinks. So you should know who they are. We'll be updating the list constantly, with every new hire, so check back whenever you like. And if we've missed anyone, let us know. Meet all of them right after the jump.

I love Newt's "staff." Hopefully, Galen is telling him, "Newt, you absolutely must run, you're the savior."

(My favorite poll so far for 2008 is SurveyUSA: Edwards beat Gingrich 538-0.)

Seems as if everything here has been gleamed from the Hotline.

I wonder if anyone has gone through the FEC reports and charted the full range of consultant relationships

On December 23, 2006 - 12:07pm Matt Corley said:

You are partially correct about the Hotline. The initial list is combination of info gleaned from the Hotline, the Fix, Political Wire, and our own archives. The plan is to continually update it both as new hires are made and as we dig deeper with more research.

Going through the FEC reports is a good idea that I suspect we may look into after the holidays.

Bill Phillips - West Virginia Staff for Mitt Romney. Perhaps even lead.

Brad Anderson won't be working for Edwards, he has been officially announced as Communications Director for Governor-Elect Chet Culver's administration. And I'm pretty sure Jean Hessburg won't be affiliated at all with Hillary Clinton's camp as she'll be coordinating the Nevada Caucuses with Jayson Sime (2006 Boswell for Congress Campaign Director) and that will require some neutrality for her.
