The award will be made on an annual basis, when warranted, to a younger scientist who is age 40 or younger on June 30 for the year in which nominated and should have spent the most recent three (3) years doing chemical research in Texas.

Nominations can be made by any Texas college or university and are due in the Foundation offices by September 15 of each year.  The award will be presented at a function on the campus of the awardee’s institution.  The current monetary amount of the award is $100,000.
