Soldier of Fortune Info
Soldier of Fortune
— SoF Cheat Codes —

So you've played the demo and you can't get past a certain point? Or are those terrorists giving you problems? If so, here you will find the cheats for Soldier of Fortune so you can beat it.

Step 1: Accessing the console

First off, make a shortcut to the sof.exe file on your desktop. Then right-click on the shortcut and go to Properties. Now click on the Shortcut tab. You will then see a line that says Target and beside it is the directory that you installed Soldier of Fortune to. Example: "C:\(name of dir)\sof.exe". At the end of this line, add +set console 1. So it should look like "C:\(name of dir)\sof.exe" +set console 1. If that's right then click Apply. When you run the game now hit the tilde (~) key and the console should drop down so now you'll be able to enter in the cheat codes!

Step 2: Understanding the concept of binding

What is binding you say? Binding is a command which allows you to be able to bind specific keys to specificed actions. This is how you bind stuff "bind (key) (action)". For example, if you want to put in God mode, you would type "bind g god", and then all you would have to do is hit the G key and you would get God mode.

Step 3: The cheat codes

Now since you’re all set, the following is a list of the basic cheat codes that you can put in the Soldier of Fortune console:

Heretic = Godmode
Elbow = Weapons #1-5
Bigelbow = Weapons #6-10
Matrix # = Timescale (replace "#" with 1-10)
Phantom = Noclip
Ninja = Notarget
Gimme = Spawn objects

You can also go to different maps by putting "map" before each map name. For example, "map tut1". Here is the list of maps you are able to do to in the demo:

TUT1 = Training
TSR1 = Subway
TSR2 = Movie Clip
TRN1 = Train

Now to get into some really tricky stuff, spawning. The following commands allow you to spawn ammo, equipment, weapons, and even people!

Ammo
Spawn item_ammo_auto = ammo for the SMG
Spawn item_ammo_pistol = ammo for the 9mm
Spawn item_ammo_pistol2 = ammo for the .44
Spawn item_ammo_shotgun = ammo for the shotgun
Spawn item_ammo_rocket = ammo for the rocket launcher

Equipment
Spawn item_equip_armor = body armor
Spawn item_equip_flashpack = flashbangs
Spawn item_equip_c4 = c4 explosives
Spawn item_equip_grenade = hand grenades
Spawn item_equip_light_goggles = nightvision goggles
Spawn item_equip_claymore = clay-more mines (doesn't seem to work very good)

People
Subway Level
Spawn m_nyc_mpunk = Mohawk punk
Spawn m_nyc_mskinhead1 = Skinhead
Spawn m_nyc_mskinhead2a = Skinhead
Spawn m_nyc_mswat = SWAT Guy
Spawn m_nyc_mswatleader = SWAT Leader
Spawn m_nyc_mpoliticion = Politician
Spawn m_nyc_m_x_mmerc = N/A
Spawn m_nyc_m_x_mcharacter = John Mullins
Spawn m_nyc_m_x_mskinboss = N/A
Spawn m_nyc_ebum = Bum Civilian
Spawn m_nyc_estockbroker = Stockbroker Civilian
Spawn m_nyc_etourist = Tourist Civilian

Train Level
Spawn_m_afr_msoldier1a = African Soldier
Spawn_m_afr_msoldier1b = African Soldier
Spawn_m_afr_msoldier2 = African Soldier
Spawn_m_afr_msniper = African Soldier
Spawn_m_afr_m_x_mcharacter = John Mullins

Movie Clip
Spawn m_cas_mraider1 = Special Operations

Siberia
Spawn m_sib_mguard4 = Siberian Guard

Weapons
After you put one of the following commands in, you can continuously press the up arrow to repeat the command in the console line and then hit enter. This will do it over and over and soon enough one weapon will spawn but the ammo in it will be increased to the number of times you pressed up and enter. Do this and there's no need to spawn any ammo.

Spawn item_weapon_assault_rifle = SMG
Spawn item_weapon_pistol = 9mm
Spawn item_weapons_pistol2 = .44
Spawn item_weapon_rocketlauncher = Rocket Launcher
Spawn item_weapon_sniper_rifle = Sniper Rifle
Spawn item_weapon_shotgun = Shotgun

Misc. Spawning Commands
If you would like even more things to spawn (i.e. garbage cans, toilets, etc.) go down further to the Commands section of the cheat to find the command that lists all the entities that are possible to spawn.

A further note is that you can spawn several things at once instead of one at a time. Like this: "spawn_item_(item); spawn_item_(item); spawn_item_(item)". So let's say, for example, you wanted to spawn all of the weapons at once, you would type it out like this "Spawn_item_weapon_pistol; spawn_item_weapon_pistol2; spawn_item_weapon_shotgun" and so forth. Don't try to do this with people though, if you spawn more than one person at the same time, they get stuck in each other.

Playing Single Player COOP with Friends!
NOTE: This is NOT supported by Raven Software, this was not intended to do, so if you have any problems with it do NOT email them about it. The following is the steps that you have to do to get coop to work in Soldier of Fortune:

Go to console and type "Deathmatch 2"
Then type "Maxclients X" (replace the "X" with how many people are going to join the server)
Then type the name of the map that you want to play
When you spawn, move out of the spawn point or they will get telefragged.
It's a good idea to turn on God mode because if one of you gets killed it gets messed up for everyone else.
Another note is that when a person joins, they will look like a giant diamond, and vice versa.

Commands list
The following is used at your risk only. Some of the following may ruin your demo so make sure you know what your doing before you do it.

Entity List
To get the full list of entites so you know what all you can spawn first type "Developer 1" in console, then type "Entlist".

Commands List
For a full list of all the commands that you can use in the console type in "Cmdlist".

Variables List
For a full list of all the variable type in "Cvarlist". You will see letters with *'s besides them, here's what they mean.

*u = User Variables
*s = Server Variables
* = Variables you can add into your config.cfg file

Recording an AVI
This is not recommended for slow computers or a computer that is low on memory. In the console, type "avi record<(filename).avi". You can type in "pause" or "stop" during the recording as well.
Note: If you do record a avi, it will boot you out of the game and it will ask you what program you want to record it with. You have to determine which one is the best for you (which one will use up the least amount of MB's).
