The telecommunications reseller makes its money through multi-level marketing (the selling strategy used by the likes of Tupperware Brands and Amway). Its commission-based independent distributors operate in 19 countries, reselling local and long-distance phone service, as well as DSL Internet access, purchased from carriers such as BellSouth, Telstra, and Verizon. It terminated its sales agreement with electricity reseller Commerce Energy, a subsidiary of Commerce Energy Group, in 2006. Chairman Robert Stevanovski, president Gregory Provenzano, and vice presidents Anthony and Michael Cupisz founded ACN in 1993.
