Unisys and the USGA


Unisys is official provider of scoring technology to the United States Golf Association for all their major championships – and we've done the job since 1985.

Each year we keep the score at the U.S. Open, the U.S. Senior Open, U.S. Women’s Open, and the U.S. Amateur.

At the larger events we install approximately 200 terminals and printers in the USGA scoring operation, media center, international TV compound, and hospitality units. Over five miles of cable links all this together. At the other events our installation is smaller – but no less complex.

All in all, it's a computer system capable of running a large-scale industrial complex or a banking network.
