As a junior Maxine was 2nd at the World Champions in 2003 and 5th in 2002.  - burst onto the elite scene in December 2003 when she finished 2nd in the Australian Olympic trial – is good at all three disciplines – has 2 World Cup podiums so far in 2004 – was competitive in equestrian before triathlon – one of the youngest competitors in the Olympic Games – a product of the Australian Institute of Sport High Performance Programme.
