Just about every web site has an "about us" section. What you get is mostly puffery in the guise of an over-blown "mission statement". The FitStik wasn't invented so we'd have something to sell. It was invented for use by a cyclist who was tired of guesswork when setting up his own bikes. That was in 1990. During the intervening years he made many improvements. |

By 1998 he got tired of saying “no” to friends and riding buddies when they asked him to make one for them, too. So he decided to make more. But if you're gonna do something, do it right. The change from one-off to product took over a year, seven prototype stages, and a flurry of patent applications on the way to becoming the FitStik depicted on this website. The result is the first and only "Ride Position Truing Tool". They're hand-crafted out of selected hardwoods and laser-cut plastics right here in Eugene, Oregon. They're tough, accurate tools intended for both professional and home shop use. So, that's what we're about: making FitStiks that we, as riders, are proud to own and use.
