With continuous performances from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., the Mysterious Asia attraction on the Pike promised 'wild, weird and interesting ceremonies' for only fifteen cents.
The facade of the Taj Mahal was the focal point for Mysterious Asia. This attraction included street scenes with bazaars from India, Ceylon (today Sri Lanka) and several other Asian countries. Rugs, silks and jewelry made in the booths at the bazaar could be purchased. Unusual foods were available at a restaurant within the attraction.
Acrobats performed on the streets sometimes building human pyramids. Actors and dancing girls appeared in an oriental theatre to the delight of thousands.
