Potsdam, on the southeastern edge of Berlin, has been called Germany's Veres. Home to Prussian Kings and German Kaisers for over 250 years, it is littered with royal parks, palaces and follies. Its landscape is considered so important that in the 1990's huge areas of the city were awarded World Heritage Site status by the United Nations.
