With our proximity to Stansted and central London, and our excellent road links to Dover and Harwich it's no wonder Havering is home to more than 7,000 businesses.

These range from manufacturing to financial services and employ around 70,000 people – helping sustain a strong local economy and an excellent employment rate. Romford, Havering's largest town centre, reflects this economic vibrancy attracting over 250,000 regular shoppers.

Havering will soon offer even more business investment opportunities with London's largest development, the Thames Gateway, on our doorstep.

Part of the development, London Riverside, will create 5,000 homes and up to 15,000 jobs in the borough.
