Description Portrait of Sir Stanley Marchant seated at and playing a Norman and Beard three-manual organ. The room is numbered '54', probably at the Royal Academy of Music. Wearing a grey suit and glasses, looking to the camera. The label on the organ reads 'Norman and Beard, 1911'. The sheet music on the organ is mainly illegible, although the words 'No 6' and 'New ...' are clear. Signed by the sitter and inscribed in black ink 'Stanley Marchant, 1927', right lower margin. Black and white photograph.
