5 killed in Bam sand storm

A strong sand storm on Friday night killed 5 and injured 14 in Bam, Kerman province southeast of Iran.
"A sand storm blowing gusts of more than 130 kmph touched down the city on Friday overnight," the Governer of Bam told IRIB.
3 children were suffocated owing to sandstorm inhallation, while 2 others died in storm-related accidents, he said.
"14 wounded were carried to hospital," he added.
"The storm cut highways connecting Bam to other cities," he said.
