Maba Jobe retires
BANJUL, December 20 -- According to reliable sources, Maba Jobe, Gambia’s High Commisioner to Nigeria for the past five years, has written to the Department of Foreign Affairs requesting to proceed on effective retirement. Maba, 36, joined in1984 the army where he rose to the rank of a Major.
He retired from the military in July 1992, joining in October of the same year Gambia’s diplomatic service as Deputy High Commissioner in London. He was in 1996 appointed High Commissioner to Nigeria. The Point - Daily Observer
