No obstacles for Montenegro's integration in NATO

There are obstacles for Euro-Atlantic
integration of Montenegro,
which is likely to be granted a membership in the NATO's Partnership for Peace.
Alan Van Egmond,
Director of the Office of the US Defense Secretary, said this at his meeting
with the Montenegrin Parliament Speaker Ranko Krivokapic.
Egmond added that the
process includes also a fully-fledged membership in NATO.
"We will support Montenegro, in
order to ensure that its army is shaped in compliance with the highest
standards of NATO", Egmond said.
He hailed the way Montenegro
gained its independence, noting that it should serve as an example for building
a stabile multi-ethnic society.
"It should serve as
a lesson for even more developed countries", Egmond said.
