Katharine Towne is on the verge of stardom. She's had roles in some of Hollywood's biggest films over the past few years, but always as a supporting player.

Katharine was born in the right place - Hollywood, in 1978. She had the screen in her blood - father Robert is a well-known screenwriter. In fact, Katharine, Kate as she likes to be called, had intended on following in her father's footsteps and becoming a screenwriter (he penned both Mission: Impossible films). "But at the end of high school," she says, "I realized I'd only written like one three-page short and I'd pretty much been acting like a writer."

So, lucky for us, she turned to acting instead. She grabbed roles in a number of teen films - She's All That, Girl, Go, and The In Crowd. But, she was looker for better, more substantial screentime. "I had this bet going with my friends that if I dyed my hair blond, I'd get better parts," she says. "And I won." Just a month after changing her hair, she won a role on the NBC series M.Y.O.B.

Off the screen, Katharine spends time with husband/actor Charlie Hunnam. Course, she also has "a dirty little secret." She's a big fan of the tv series Boy Meets World.
