Q:
Why is stopping the proposed LNG terminal off the coast of Malibu and Oxnard so important to you?
A:
This LNG project poses significant and potentially irreversible negative impacts to our coast, our environment and to the health and safety of our families.
Q:
You have such a great love of all living things. How many furry living things does your family have as pets?
A:

I have two puppies and a kitten, all adopted from the Humane Society.

Q:
What kind of personal car do you drive?
A:
I drive a 2002 Aston Martin Vanquish that I received as a gift from a Bond film.
Q:
Is it nerve-racking being on a live talk show compared to being on the set of a movie where you are able to do a few takes if you mess your lines up? Or does it give you a certain amount of freedom to just be yourself and be relaxed?
A:
It gives you a bit of freedom, but it's difficult to get comfortable on talk shows, being put on the spot and all. I find that the best talk show hosts are the ones that really listen and want to talk; some others are just 'get in and get out'.
Q:
Pierce, hello, this is a curious soul in Mexico... love and only love to you too. What is in your opinion is "success"?
A:
Success… having a strong family around you, friends you love and trust and putting in a good days work. All that and you will wake up happy.
Q:
Do you ever keep anything from your movies?
A:
Yes, like a pair of church shoes I wore in all the Bond films!

Mr. Brosnan - Do you play any instruments or do you like to sing?
A:
I dabble… flute, ukulele, guitar.

What do you have to say to the millions of lady fans who are in love with you?
A:
(laughing) - stay in love!

Do you believe a good actor is born or taught?
A:
It's both.

Any advice for an aspiring actor?
A:
Keep it up, do the work, be disciplined and passionate, don't give up, don't let the bastards get you down.

Did you like school when you were young?
A:
Hated it!

Dear Pierce, what do you think about the new James Bond actor Daniel Craig? Have you ever met him?
A:
I have met him and I think he will be great.

Do you think there will ever be a Remington Steele Movie?
A:
I am sorry but it doesn't look like it.

Are you a lefty or a righty? A lot of sites say that you are left handed but we noticed in pictures you are autographing with your right.
A:
Right handed.
Q:
What type of red wine do you drink?
A:
Lately, Silver Oak Cabernet.
Q:
What kind of music do you listen to?
A:
All kinds - classical, Mendelssohn, Bach, Sting, Van Morrison, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Coldplay. I love U2.

Do you believe in fate? Does life lead you or do you lead your own life?
A:
I've always led my own life, and when it gets rough pull in the sails and ride tiller.
Q:
Since you are a multi-talented artist, I wondered... do you have a favorite painter? A favorite book or author?
A:
There are so many. Matisse, Manet, Alfred Sisley, Cy Twombly, Picasso, David Hockney.
Authors – I am partial to Ian McEwan, Anton Chekhov, Hemingway.
Q:
Who has been your biggest inspiration?
A:
Brando. Tony Hopkins, John Hurt, Robert DeNiro. Anyone who plays with heart and truth.
Q:
Being an actor there are a lot of times when you must take risks. Do you believe that risk taking is something you are born with or something that you become more accustomed to?
A:
Taking risks - you learn to fine tune it as life goes on. Risk taking is in everyone. You just gotta find it, and do it, to grow.
Q:
What are some of your favorite places in Ireland?
A:
County Kerry, County Wicklow (the mountains). Dublin.
Q:
Have you ever played a video game based on any of your movies and if so did you like it?
A:
Yes I have, I played ‘GoldenEye’ when it first came out and shot myself in the foot – failed miserably! I had no patience for the bloody thing…
Q:
Pierce... How do you keep your body so perfect? Could You please tell us your real weight and height?
A:
Monday, off to run & weights. Wednesday, tennis and swimming. Thursday, running, weights and maybe a bike ride. Friday, kick boxing. Saturday, a good hike, and Sunday Pilates / yoga. Constant work.
Real weight & height… 195 lbs, 6’ 2” on a good day.
Q:
What your favorite food and do you cook?
A:
Don’t cook! I used to… My wife Keely is a great cook. I love pasta & good salads, fresh baguettes, good wine.
Q:
Cigars - do you still smoke them? What is your favorite cigar?
A:
Cigars! Once in a blue moon. Cubans are overrated, I like a good Dominican. Greycliffs in the Bahamas, it’s a good restaurant and they roll their own cigars.
Q:
Would you ever do a project with your Remington Steele co-star, Stephanie Zimbalist? I always loved the chemistry you and she generated.
A:
I think it would be wonderful to revisit with Stephanie on the right project. She’s a great actress.
Q:
I have noticed that within quite a few of your paintings are colorful images of fish, do the fish hold any meaning?
A:
No meaning that I know of. I have this collection of brightly colored fish painted on wood I bought in Mexico, so I put them in.
Q:
What has been your favorite or most rewarding role? What are the easiest and hardest characters you've played?
A:
Favorite roles – Bond. Remington. Julian in The Matador. Desmond Doyle in Evelyn. Thomas Crown. Rudbeck in Mr. Johnson. They’re all hard.
Q:
There have been many different types of action figures made of you. Do you like them or is it a bit weird?
A:
Weird – I don’t pay much attention to them, are they any good? Maybe I should collect those.
Q:
Being a celebrity, what parts of it do you like and what parts of it don't you like? Would you prefer to be a celebrity or be average like me?
A:
You must never call yourself average.

I love it all (more or less), being an actor and having the good fortune I’ve had. I give thanks whenever I can. Every day.

Q:
Many of us have worked for months sending emails, letters, faxes, putting up banners, doing petitions etc to keep you as James Bond. Is there any truth in the rumour that you are going to play him again?
A:
No truth – I am sorry – but it’s over. It would have been great for the fifth. You just gotta move on, always. Thanks a million for all your support.

Q:
What do you do in your spare time (if you have any)?
A:
I sit on my deck in Malibu and look at the ocean, with a drawing pad. Play tennis, the odd round of golf. Hike in the mountains, kayak, and when it’s really good I’ll paint.

What do you think about the marriage of Charles and Camilla?
A:
Good luck to them – I hope they will be happy for many years.

Where did you get your sun glasses from (the ones you had in Die Another Day and After the Sunset)? Have you thought about how you will dress in the Topkapi Affair?
A:
The glasses came from Oliver Peoples. I had that pair for many years. They got lost…
I have not thought on how to dress Crown in The Topkapi Affair – gotta get the script right first.
Q:
Is your son Sean into acting? Would you like to do a film project with him?
A:
Yes and yes. He has just this summer graduated from Central School of Speech and Drama. I do believe we will work together.

Pierce, can you tell a young guy, what is the secret to being a real man?
A:
Don’t lie to yourself… (or others).
Know you’re gonna have bad times, so be in the very moment of the good times, and try to make others happy. And always know it’s constant work to grow into life. So trust yourself. Be bold.
