NEW YORK, NY and BURBANK, CA (February 16, 2005) — Kids' WB!, the #1 broadcaster in the kids’ business, today unveiled its new Fall schedule for the 2005-2006 television season. This diverse new slate will offer broader audience appeal with dual-gender programs, while continuing to build on Kids’ WB!’s first 10 years of success.

The network will introduce an all-original series inspired by the hugely successful franchise property of the classic animated characters who are reimagined as futuristic heroes in Warner Bros. Animation’s Loonatics (Working Title), along with two new series, Johnny Test and Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island, to join returning powerhouse hits on Kids’ WB!’s new Fall lineup. The schedule was announced today by David Janollari, President, Entertainment, The WB and Kids’ WB!, and Betsy McGowen, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Kids' WB!, speaking to advertisers and media during the Kids’ WB! upfront sales presentation in New York.

“In a very short time, Kids WB! has become the most dominant broadcaster in the kids’ landscape, not just in Saturday morning ‘primetime,’ but also as the only dedicated broadcaster Mondays through Fridays,” said Mr. Janollari. “Creating a unique destination powered by a distinct, branded environment that kids embrace in a huge way, our goal is to make the Kids’ WB! viewers of today our primetime program viewers of tomorrow.”

“I am thrilled to introduce the Kids’ WB! of the next decade as we move into the future and build on our broadcast dominance,” said Ms. McGowen. “With cornerstone hits and more programs appealing to both boys and girls, including a re-imagining of the world’s beloved antic band of animated entertainers in
Warner Bros. Animation’s Loonatics, we are poised to broaden our audience this fall.”

Unveiling a new Kids’ WB! with a diverse, innovative Fall schedule, the network takes it to the next level with more action-comedy and fantastical-adventures helmed by three new animated series and four returning hits. The 2005-2006 slate welcomes Loonatics, a new franchise property in an all-new take on Warner Bros.’ legendary Looney Tunes. Produced by Warner Bros. Animation, fast-forwarding seven-hundred years into the future, Loonatics will feature six descendants of some of the most beloved animated characters in history – Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, the Road Runner, Lola Bunny, Tasmanian Devil and Wile E. Coyote. Endowed with individual super-powers and unique abilities – and an incomparable, irreverent sense of humor inherited from their forefathers – these new Looney characters band together to create a formidable team and face-off against the evils of Acmetropolis.

Additional new Saturday morning programs include two series from Warner Bros. Animation: the always-eager experimental team of Johnny and his genetically enhanced dog, Poochie, in the action-comedy extravaganza Johnny Test; as well as the silliest spot in the Seven Seas, Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island, where the energetic, eternally optimistic Coconut Fred and his fresh crop of cohorts share their tropical paradise.

Kids’ WB! also is proud to announce the new season pick-ups of four Saturday morning favorites: Yu-Gi-Oh! with season five and all-new dueling adventures; the next evolution of the top-rated Pokémon franchise with season eight and 52 original episodes; the culturally diverse, Emmy-nominated Xiaolin Showdown returns with our young monk warriors having enhanced “Wudai powers” as they take on a new evil like no other in the 13 action-packed episodes of the third season; and the Caped Crusader uncovers new villains and unmasks a new partner-in-crime – Batgirl – as Kids’ WB! brings on The Batman for a second season with 26 brand new adventures.

Building on its powerhouse weekday lineup, Kids’ WB!’s Monday-Friday slate welcomes the breakout hits Xiaolin Showdown and The Batman – as both series will join Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! to air six days a week beginning in Fall 2005. Performing strongly on Saturday mornings, The Batman ranks among the top five broadcast shows in all key demos and Xiaolin Showdown also proves to be a hit, taking the top three broadcast spot, only behind Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh! Kids’ WB!’s new weekday lineup will bring more exhilarating quests, surprising new villains and unpredictable adventures.

Since Fall 2000, Kids' WB! has upheld its dominant post as the #1 broadcast network for kids in all key demographics and is in the midst of capturing its 14th consecutive sweep win this month as the #1 Saturday morning broadcast network. Season-to-date for the 2004-2005 season, Kids' WB! continues to be the broadcast leader – in each of the eight half-hours the network programs on Saturday mornings – and in all the key demographics of Kids 2-11, Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11, Boys 6-11 and Tweens 9-14, while also dominating all competition, including cable, in Male Tweens 9-14. Among the broadcast competition, Yu-Gi-Oh! Waking The Dragons, Pokémon Advanced Challenge, Xiaolin Showdown and The Batman lead the network in the top 10 program spots in Kids 6-11, Boys 2-11 and Boys 6-11, the top six spots with eight of the top 10 in Kids 2-11, nine of the top 10 programs in Tweens 9-14 and takes the top five program spots over all competition with seven of the top 10 in Male Tweens 9-14.

KIDS' WB! 2005-2006 SEASON SERIES DESCRIPTIONS
• Loonatics, set seven hundred years into the future, introduces six descendants of some very famous figures from the past as they come together to form a brilliant ensemble of superheroes, each boasting special skills, unique abilities and gifted with a firm sense of justice. Alone they are formidable; together they are unstoppable. They're Loonatics.

Their beloved ancestors – Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, Tasmanian Devil, Lola Bunny – hold a very special place in history. But that was then. This is now.

In the year 2772, this super-charged, high-flying action team of a new generation shares the same DNA and sharp-edged wit as their Looney Tunes forefathers…and that’s where the similarities end.

Loonatics are one of a kind – and today’s heroes from tomorrow! No matter how high the odds are stacked against them, they'll whirl in to save the world without a moment's hesitation. Want to keep the world safe…call in Loonatics! This over-the-top, high-octane action-comedy is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

• On a tiny tropical haven, known as Fruit Salad Island, live and breathe bananas, melons, mangos, lemons and other fruit who have made it their home. The fruity islanders spend all day basking in the three S's...sun, surf and sleeping. But the islanders are not alone. They share their peaceful island paradise with a real nut – a wacky, weird and wild coconut named Fred. A ball of endless energy, filled with a big heart and sweet, sloshy milk, Fred is an eternal optimist who pursues his dreams, solves his own problems – and never ever quits.

From sunrise to sunset, Fred constantly contemplates his next big idea – and whatever he thinks about actually happens. Nobody knows how he does it, but when Fred starts wishing…watch out! This zany nut and his crop of cohorts splash onto Saturday mornings as Coconut Fred’s Fruit Salad Island is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

• Imagine having a lollipop that gives you the strength of a hundred men or a rocket-powered backpack that can send you to the Moon or genetically altering your dog to make him talk. Johnny Test can do all of that…and more!

Johnny Test chronicles the adventures of a fearless 11-year-old boy, his genetically engineered super dog Poochie and his 13-year-old super genius scientist twin sisters, Susan and Mary, who use Johnny as their guinea pig for their out-of-this-world scientific experiments.

When it comes to adventures, Johnny and his souped-up super mutt are a team obsessed with pushing the limits – speed limits, time limits, physical limits, you name it. Johnny is the ultimate test pilot where no mission is too insane, no challenge is too great, no villain is too menacing – and no sister-created concoction is too wild. As long as his dog Poochie can come along, Johnny gives it a go! A fantastical-comedy extravaganza, this series is produced by Warner Bros. Animation.

• The Batman continues to explore Batman’s story in year three: in his mid-twenties, still finding his way as protector, defender and Caped Crusader, while balancing his public persona as billionaire bachelor Bruce Wayne. Living in Gotham, this younger Batman continues to meet and face-off with familiar foes of his classic Rogue’s Gallery. From the likes of Joker, Penguin, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Riddler and Man-Bat, among others, the war on crime has escalated to the next level with a new arsenal at the Dark Knight’s disposal, all operated and linked by an advanced remote-controlled invention he dubs the “Bat-Wave.” In this captivating second season, The Batman will face a little competition to protect the citizens of Gotham…from a teenaged girl – Batgirl. She has just flown into town to do her part in keeping the streets safe from the most dangerous and occasionally hysterical super villains out there. Is there enough room in Gotham for two Caped Crusaders? The Batman is produced by Warner Bros. Animation for Kids’ WB! and Cartoon Network.

• The animé-hit Yu-Gi-Oh!, from 4Kids Productions, Inc., will enter its fifth season with an all-new adventure! Kaiba gathers the top duelists from around the world to compete in an “all-star” championship dueling tournament – and Yugi, who is armed with a new arsenal of monsters and cards – is put to the ultimate challenge and forced to duel like never before… As Yugi continues his quest to learn about his past, he will travel back to Ancient Egypt to duel with sorcerers who compete with real monsters and magic.

• The saga continues for the top-rated franchise in the eighth season of Pokémon, which finds Ash, Pikachu and friends continuing their adventures through the Hoenn region as Ash prepares for the Hoenn League Championships. Produced by 4Kids Productions, Inc., the season is filled with new Pokémon, intense competitions and, of course, new challenges these friends are faced with as they explore the unknown land of Battle Frontier. Never a dull moment, Ash and the gang keep one step ahead of Team Rocket and their newest rivals of Teams Magma and Aqua, while facing exciting Pokémon challenges in this mysterious new land.

• The breakout hit Xiaolin Showdown, from Warner Bros. Animation, returns for its third season as the young monks have risen to the ranks of Wudai Warriors. Testing their courage and newly developed Wudai powers, they face the dark forces of evil that have also grown stronger and more menacing than ever. Assigned to their first Wudai Warrior quests, Omi, Raimundo, Kimiko and Clay will stop at nothing to protect themselves, the powerful Shen Gong Wu and the world from evil…and if they must, will challenge any and all to a Xiaolin Showdown!
