Paul has been very unfortunate with injury since breaking into the first team ranks in 2005. Firstly he was forced on the sidelines with a knee injury which had ruled him out of contention and has he returned managed just four appearances before picking up a freak injury in the Challenge Cup game at Wakefield with a detached retina.

Thankfully, Paul made a quicker than expected recovery and was loaned out to National League One club Leigh Centurions at the end of 2006.

A talented robust hard working player who will learn from having the likes of Stuart Fielden and Iafeta Paleaaesina around him. Another academy product who has progressed through the ranks of the Wigan club.
