YC Tries to Cope with Glueck Construction's Racket

Frustrated by complaints from students and faculty about the noise emanating from construction of the Glueck Center, YC is looking diligently to find quiet classrooms. In fact, the YC Dean's Office has worked with the Registrar's Office to find space in all Wilf Campus buildings, including areas occupied by Yeshiva University High School for Boys.

National Depression Survey Day Observed on the Wilf Campus

For the first time ever, Yeshiva University participated in National Depression Screening Day, which took place on Thursday, October 11. For three and a half hours Thursday afternoon, staff members from the Counseling Center manned tables in the Rubin lobby passing out surveys that might indicate varying levels of depression and anxiety in the survey takers.

The Yeshiva University Community mourns the loss of Rabbi Shimon Eider z'l

On the second day of Sukkot, The Torah world lost Rabbi Shimon Eider, posek and author of note. Although spending the majority of his life in Lakewood, NJ where he studied under Rav Aharon Kotler zt'l, he began his academic career at Yeshiva University's BTA high school in Brooklyn and then graduated from Yeshiva College with a degree in psychology in 1960.
