The Town of Hartland consists of a mid-sized commercial village, approximately 19 miles northeast of Skowhegan, a large, forested rural area, and two significant seasonal use areas. Great Moose Lake and Morrill Pond together account for 1/3 of Hartland's housing stock as seasonal units. The village area is the crossroads of several major collector roads, and the Sebasticook River. The eastern Somerset County town covers about 37 square miles.
