What is available at this site ?
At this site, you can view the consolidated laws as they appear in the official bound volumes of the 2000 Revised Edition of the Statute Law and Subsidiary Legislation of The Bahamas (except the Constitution) as well as selected texts of the laws passed from April, 2002. You may also view a listing of the Annual Acts and Statutory Instruments from 2002 onwards.
Are the Acts and Statutory Instruments protected by copyright ?
Yes. This website and its contents are subject to Government of The Bahamas Copyright protection.
Where can I obtain a complete set of the Revised Laws of The Bahamas in CD Rom or hard copy form ?
International users may obtain a complete set of the consolidated version of the Laws in hard copy form or a CD Rom version from The Cabinet Office, at P. O. Box N-7147, Nassau, Bahamas, Tel: 242-322-2410.

What is a 'Listing of the Annual Laws ?
A listing of the Annual Acts or Statutory Instruments from 2002 onwards can be found in the Annual Volume and will allow users to view any amending legislation and new legislation passed since the last consolidation of the laws. It is our goal to post all new Statutes within fourteen (14) days of publication.
How do I find if there is an amendment to an Act or a Statutory Instrument?
You may view a listing of the Annual Acts and Statutory Instruments to ascertain whether there has been any amendment to an Act or Statutory Instrument since the publication of the last consolidation of the laws. Additionally, for ease of reference, we have established a link to an amending Act where applicable.
When will the laws be next consolidated ?
There is no fixed date for the next consolidation. However, it is our goal to update the loose leaf volumes and the CD Rom versions every two years.
Why are only selected texts available for the Annual Laws ?
Initially, we have sought to make available those texts which we thought were more informative to users. From the launching date of this website, it is our intention to make available all Statute laws passed from that date.
