Senator to light 'Fireflies'

Roberts, Moss starring in Weber production

U.S. production is the first for Berlin-based Senator, which plans to start lensing next month in Austin. Dennis Lee will make his directorial debut helming his own script; he is a student Academy Award winner for his short "Jesus Henry Christ."

Semiautobiographical story centers on the complexities of love and commitment in a family torn apart when faced by an unexpected tragedy.

Senator's Marco Weber ("Igby Goes Down") will produce with head of production Vanessa Coifman and Sukee Chew. Jere Hausfeter and Milton Liu exec produce.

Senator is in pre-production on "The Informers," based on Bret Easton Ellis' novel. Project begins shooting this summer.
