Spam is a serious menace to a free internet. If there is anything you can do to take spammers out of action, from reporting for prosecution to sabotage (without breaking any laws, of course), do it and do it now. The recent case in which a man in England won an injunction and damages shows that it can be done. But one individual case is only a marginal answer. Lobby your member of parliament, Congressman, regulatory authority, bank, credit card company and online retailer to take massive and highly publicised action.
And never, never, never reply to a spam message.
