Welcome to Seychelles-Turtles.org, the web site of the Turtle Action Group of Seychelles (TAGS) dedicated to marine turtle monitoring and conservation in Seychelles.

The site provides information on the two marine turtle species that breed regularly around the islands of Seychelles, the Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas).

You will also find information on current marine turtle research activities and on the various governmental and non-governmental organisations involved in turtle conservation and turtle monitoring programmes in Seychelles. These organisations have joined forces to form the Turtle Action Group of Seychelles (TAGS) as a result of the Strategic Management of Turtle Populations project which was funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office through the British High Commission in Victoria.

The monitoring and research section is updated regularly through the e-turtle database programme of Turtle Action Group of Seychelles (TAGS) and allows you to generate reports on the Hawksbill Turtle (Eretmochelys imbricata) and the Green Turtle (Chelonia mydas) populations in Seychelles, by area and by species.

There are broad guidelines on how you can help turtle conservation in Seychelles and anyone who would like to learn more about the e-turtle programme or the Turtle Action Group of Seychelles (TAGS) are invited to contact us for more nformation.

Thank you for your interest in marine turtle monitoring and conservation in Seychelles and we hope that you will enjoy browsing our website.
