The 18-year-old became famous for all the wrong reasons when more than 15 million people logged on to YouTube to watch her embarrassing performance in the Miss Teen USA pageant.

Upton, who was a favourite to win the pageant before her fumbled answer, then agreed to answer the question again on NBC's Today Show, saying "I'm not the girl who answered that question in a silly way. I'm a strong independent woman who knows what she wants in life".

Upton is now enjoying the same privileges as the pageant winner - living in the Trump Apartments in New York with modelling assignments likely to be in Milan, Japan and Australia, wistv.com reported.
"My lifelong dream has been to travel the world and pursue my modelling career. Randomly, that (answer) has offered me that opportunity," she said.
