DDS Utilities |
This installer includes four separate utilities:
- nvDXT - command-line binary version of the nvDXT library
- detach - extracts MIP levels from a .DDS file
- stitch - recombines MIP levels into a single .DDS file
- readDXT - reads compressed images and writes .TGA files

3ds max .dds Plug-ins |
Allows 3ds max to read .dds files. The installer includes versions for 3ds max 3, 4, and 5, as well as source code for the latest version. |
Adobe Photoshop Normal Map and DDS Authoring Plug-ins |
This installer contains two plug-ins. The first creates normal maps from height maps for per pixel rendering. The other is a DXTC texture compression plugin for Adobe Photoshop that allows you to open and save .dds files in RGB format. It reads and writes .dds files compressed or uncompressed. |
DDS Thumbnail Viewer |
Allows you to view .dds files in Thumbnail view in the Windows Explorer. Now with an installer. |
Texture Atlas Tools |
A collection of tools for creating texture atlases, which can help to increase batch sizes. Comes with an installer, Atlas Creation Utility User Guide, Atlas Viewer User Guide, and a whitepaper about texture atlases in general. |
