You thought they were gone, you were wrong. Nikki, Grace, Lea and Mikey have returned to The House Next Door after receiving the most public votes... and the other housemates know all about it.

Nikki was the overwhelmingly popular comeback kid with 63% of the votes. The once-hated Grace took 8.4% while Lea and Mikey received 7.3% each. The huge public response raised over £250,000 for charity.

The ecstatic quartet were told the news live on air and headed straight to the Diary Room, where their image was beamed to the stunned housemates in the lounge.

"Oh my god!" screamed Richard. Pete, Imogen and Jennie had a synchronised jaw-dropping moment, while Glyn bellowed: "Lea!" in a frenzy of desire.

Aisleyne gasped instantly: "We've got to choose someone to come back." That girl's not just a pretty face, eh...

The four returnees were sent at once to The House Next Door, where they've been getting used to their new surroundings in an unreal daze. "We're actually back in Big Brother," announced a still shocked Nikki.

Meanwhile, the other housemates were also trying to get their heads around the groundbreaking news.

Pete leapt around joyously, while Richard did a little jig of happiness... but not everyone was happy. Jennie looked apprehensive, while Aisleyne fretted: "They know everything about us, they know about the outside world... they can't come back!"

Oh but they can. And they have. And soon, one of them really will...
