END-OF-COURSE ASSESSMENTS

Implementation
On June 16, 2007, the governor signed Senate Bill 1031, which called for the development of “end-of-course assessment instruments for secondary-level courses in Algebra I, Algebra II, geometry, biology, chemistry, physics, English I, English II, English III, world geography, world history, and United States history.”

The Student Assessment Division is currently developing six of these End-of-Course (EOC) assessments and beginning to develop the remaining six. The table below reflects the proposed schedule to field-test and implement the twelve EOC assessments over the course of the next several years.

The testing window for the Algebra I EOC Assessment is May 12–30, 2008.
