My Chemical Romance cancel shows
Due to drummer's injuries
My Chemical Romance were forced to cancel two live dates over the weekend due to drummer Bob Bryar's hospitalisation.
The band were due to play at date in Allentown, Pennsylvania on Saturday (September 2) and Syracuse, New York on Sunday (September 3).
In a statement, the band said: "My Chemical Romance regretfully announced they are cancelling this weekend's performances in both Allentown, PA (September 2) and Syracuse, NY (3) due to the hospitalization of drummer Bob Bryar.
"Bryar was admitted to the hospital late Thursday night because of complications resulting from injuries sustained last month while the band was shooting a video in Los Angeles. He is expected to remain there through the weekend."
Singer Gerard Way said: "One of the major disappointments of this, other than seeing Bob in pain, is missing Taking Back Sunday and Circa Survive."
Band manager Brian Schechter said: "The band and I feel that they should stick by their bandmate and brother's side in this time and not go play a show with a different drummer. Please bear with us as we first sort out Bob's health and secondly the re-scheduling of these shows."
As previously reported by NME.COM, My Chemical Romancemembers Gerad Way and Bob Bryar were injured during a video shoot.
The band had to cancel their Street Scene San Diego show on August 5 due to the injuries sustained. Bob Bryar received a bad burn to the back of his leg.
