Luke about the first week of the Toto US tour
Posted by Arend on Monday, May 07, 2007 9:34:02 AM

Lukather: "Hey guys, well I thought the first leg out in the USA was a success. Fergie Frederiksen jammed with us Saturday night and he killed it. It was nice to hang with him and he sang his ass off to the delight of the crowd. I think we will have him back for our 30th Anniversary Tour, when that happens. It was a trip... Hahaha, 22 years since we played together! Time flies huh!
Thanks to all that came out and it is great to play our own country. They laughed and and got all my jokes, hahaha.
The band was tight and the crowd reations were better than we expected. Very cool all around. Gives me a bit of hope for the USA, but we have a long journey to make it happen. Hopefully we can parlay this into more shows in our home country and we will be all over the world in any event, rest assured.
I just don't get to see more airports. I HATE them. Hahaha. That's what we get paid for. Going to the airport and dealing with all that shit! The gig is fun! Hahaha.
Have a good one and I will check in again soon,
Luke"
