Please bear with us while we work on this site. It has been many years now and it has grown with information that now needs to be taken down. You may find some links that are not working please do NOT email us, just know we are working on them. We have all ready taken down the ARCHIVES of both hurricane Frances & Jeanne. Life in Barefoot Bay has moved on and the people have rebuilt, bought new or have done major improvements to their homes. We want to show the Bay as it is and not as it WAS!

We also have contributors to the site and the local RED HAT chapter is one who has donated to help with the upkeep of the site. We will be working on their section as well.

Please support our affiliates and advertisers we thank them for their support and the support of many local readers who have contributed.  Thank you to everyone for your support of this site, the Captain & I really appreciate it. This site is really dedicated to the community and the people. 

It will take some time to get things changed and updated with a whole new look so please bear with us and if you have anything to contribute for the good of the community please email us at: captained@barefootbay.net. Please put the words "UPDATE" in the subject line because otherwise it may get lost in the spam. Without that word, it will just fall into the JUNK emails.

We will send out a notice in our newsletter for those who just read emails. Please be sure to read the caption under the Barefoot Bay Pier about our local Post Offices' new location.

The Barefoot Peddler is the home of the Micco Post Office. They were located right here in Barefoot Bay next to the water department. As of July 1st they are in a NEW LOCATION. Right in the Winn Dixie shopping plaza on the corner as you enter from Barefoot Blvd. They have more parking and it is really much easier to access. Dawn Hawkins the owner is the most pleasant person you can find around. Introduce yourself and tell her the CAPTAIN and DONNA  sent you, she will be very happy to see you. Remember, if you need postal services she has them right there for you the "Micco" sub-station post office is located in her gift shop. Need shipping services she has DHL and we have found them to be better than UPS, visit her and try it out you won't be sorry.
