At First Capital Connect we are constantly striving for improvements.

Since First Capital Connect took over the franchise on 1 April 2006 we have spent over £16.3 million in improvements.  Real tangible improvements including; refreshing trains, painting stations, employing more Police Community Support Officers and Police Officers, replacing broken ticket machines and upgrading existing ones, employing more Revenue Protection Officers, refurbishing toilets and waiting rooms and improving poster sites and improving our website.

We know there is much more to do.  This year we will invest a further £27.9 million in improvements.

All our improvements are for our customers, we hope you soon notice the difference.  Please give us your feedback, you can take part in our on line meet the directors forums, or you can meet us at one of our meet the manager sessions or email us and let us know what you think.

We know that overcrowding is our single biggest issue and we are delighted that the Department for Transport has agreed to the recommendations in the Cambridge and Peterborough Capacity Study, and we continue to work hard to secure the extra class 319 trains for the Thameslink route as soon as we can.
