Film Blog - News

Since I have been AFK quite a bit lately (“away from the computer”, I learnt the expression during my Guild Wars brief but intense second life... nothing to boast of), I have decided to post a series of more visually-oriented topics for the next couple of weeks, until I return from Greece and Turkey.

This is a film that looks seriously good and that I can’t wait to see:

Jang Yoon-Hyeon, who directed the excellent Some and the not-so-great Tell Me Something, has adapted the novel by North Korean writer Hong Suk-Joong for the screen. And more importantly, he has cast Song Hye-Gyo (of tv dramas All In, Hotelier and Full house fame) as the eponymous heroine, a Choseon Dynasty kisaeng who left an impressive body of poetry as well as ample material for biographers and novelists.

The film will be released in Korea in June.
