Who am I?
My
family has lived in this area for five generations. My great,
great grandfather was one of the first mayors of Victoria
and my grandfather was a well respected and well loved businessman.
My father was a family doctor in Saanich for forty years.
My mother taught in Saanich while raising our family on
Christmas Hill. For the past 15 years, I have lived on Salt
Spring Island, where I am raising two sons, Ronan 11 and
Callum15, both of them avid soccer players. I am a founding
director of TLC, The Land Conservancy.
For two decades, I have helped support
myself and my family as a small business woman, operating
a consulting business for environmental education and museum
design. I have worked extensively in the print and electronic
media, and I have taught at the University of Victoria for
fifteen years.
