In postapocalyptic America, a plague has devastated the former nation and humanity is on its last legs. The only hope for a cure lies in a forgotten database stored on a computer system in New York City. Pearl Prophet lives in Atlanta, Georgia, one of the last hideouts of the human race. He decides their only hope for survival is to retrieve the data. Before setting off for New York, Pearl is surgically altered to become a cyborg so he can survive the wasteland and interface with the computer. Once he arrives, Pearl soon finds out he is not the only one after the cure. A group of pirates, led by Fender Tremolo, is also after the data for less honorable purposes. Gibson Rickenbacker, a mercenary who joins up with Pearl and Marshall, is the only thing that stands between humanity and its utter destruction.
